Short Bio for Dimitris Keramidakis

Dimitris Keramidakis began his career as a child prodigy, having been awarded in international music competitions and graduated from the State Conservatory in 1996, after attending piano lessons for only 4 years.

In 1997, he began taking part in concerts around the world and continued earning scholarships for his studies with Roberto Szidon, Ruth Gerald, Mr Loether,

  1. Shroeder, Milena Mollova, Sarantis Kassaras, Victor Merzhanov.

Somewhere there, he started to feel limited by the narrow boundaries of classical music and developed the need to forge his path as a creator, through improvised music and electronic technology.

He joined the psychoacoustic group of Aristotle University and composed music, researching and developing new forms, trends, and methods, while giving concerts around the world. He has over 2000 participations in Greek and foreign discography, seminars, and music for film and theater. In recent years, apart from being a producer, composer, and soloist, he has been interested in combining traditional songs, Mediterranean music, and Western African culture with the organic sound of the piano, the magic of technology, and the freedom of jazz.

In 2014 – 2017, he was awarded for his contribution to music and culture.
