Kariotis Workshop: Innovation and Technology in the World of Sound and Lighting
On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, our company (Kariotis Audio & Lighting) held a successful training workshop in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki, hosted by ktima Xristidi.
The event started with an interesting introduction by Mr. Pandelis Kariotis, who shared with the participants the history and mission of our company, as well as the Product Presentation of the companies dB Technologies, Montarbo management software RD-NET, etc.
Afterwards, we had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Renos Papapaschos, who informed us about the latest developments, from Theory to practice of point source, line array systems and technological innovations in the field of sound. Renos Papapaschos, in a testimony of experience and knowledge of his subject from the time of Sound Control when he was Technical Director, opened the gates of his knowledge to us by explaining the techniques and particularities of speakers and their evolution from the 90s onwards, developed the theories regarding the Electroacoustic imaging of array systems and point performance systems and when these should be used based on each set up.
The particularly important role of speaker delay, the importance of weather conditions and humidity which significantly affects the performance of amplified systems
Mr Marios Kariotis then introduced us to Digico's flagship consoles, offering a fascinating overview of their capabilities.
Throughout the Event, the well-known DJ and sales specialist of our company with vast experience in the wedding section, Mr. Missirlis Giorgos, accompanied us with his music and with 2 dB Technologies ES1203.
This was followed by a detailed presentation of the speakers and a live Demo outside the estate by the companies Montarbo and dB-Technologies

Finally, Mr Nikos Kariotis presented the new proposals in the field of lighting from PROLIGHTS, i.e. the new IP 65 waterproof luminaires for theater-television use CT + FRESNEL as well as CT+ PROFILE, the soft lights ECL PANEL and Fresnel CT+ M which are now available and the studios of ERT and ERT 3, the waterproof heads ASTRA HYDRID 330 as well as ASTRA WASH 19, the waterproof wash lamps PROLIGHTS smart bat plus, smart bat wash as well as the new lighting consoles of the company COMPULITE VIBE XL, the brand new VIBE WING and VIBE PC.
Immediately later, Pantelis Kariotis made the presentation on the German-made smoke production machines SMOKE FACTORY, while a real demo was made on the lilliputian battery smoke machine SCOTTY II, on the best seller hazer, TOUR HAZE II which has been observed to find many cheap Chinese copies, the machine smoke DATA II of 2600 watt, while at the end the large format FUN FOGGER 2.6 was presented.
Finally, Pantelis Kariotis mentioned the rigs of the German NIVTEC and their unique patent with the support of one leg per rig in the set up, which ranks them as the fastest set up rig system in the world with superior quality of construction and durability.
The workshop of our company (Kariotis Audio & Lighting) was an excellent opportunity for professionals and lovers of sound and lighting to learn about the latest trends and explore the innovations offered by the leading companies in this field.
