Kariotis Audio & Lighting at the Music World Expo in Zappeion
With an open space at its stand, Kariotis Audio & Lighting effectively combined the product presence and hospitality of associates and executives on its double-booth at the Music World Expo in Zappeion. The company, exploiting the dynamics of the audience and visitors, did not only focus on purely professional equipment, but also presented an extensive range of 'prosumer' products targeted at the music technology audience and musicians.
In the foreground, we saw the new DIGICO S21 in continued demo and presentations by Vassilis Skouras as well as the 'bigger' and upgraded Stealth Core 2 DIGICO SD-9 with 96 channels in and 48 channels out.
The RCF product range was also great, and RCF does not just mean speakers, but a wider range of products. From the speakers we saw the Evox portable series (5.8, and 12), the popular active (and DSP) ART 712-A and ART 715-A, representatives of the largest TT + series and RCL HDL line array cabinets (HDL 20-A) and of course the Mytho studio. As I said, apart from the RCF speakers, we saw the IPS (700, 1700, 2700 and 3700) amplifiers, the QPS 9600 4-channel and the new M18 livepad, digital M18 mixer in action ...
Visitors also had the opportunity to see and hear the new reference cables of the REFERENCE Laboratory, which is a new collaboration between Kariotis Audio & Lighting. On the occasion of this new partnership, an interesting session called '' line mic check '' where everyone could listen in the AB test form an Audix microphone with a REFERENCE cable compared to another branded cable to take off his own conclusions about the quality of the cables of the Italian company.
Also present here are the GRAVITY mic-speaker bases, as well as the American AUDIX microphones in an extensive range of instrument and vocal models. The personal mixing piece also had its own presence starring AVIOM's personal mixer and Westone in-ear headphones.
With regard to the lighting sector, we saw the new light bulbs of DTS Lighting, PROLIGHT, GLP and PMK beam, as well as the Nivtec-flexibel platform systems and the UNIVIG Italian DIVO lift motors.
As part of the exhibition, the company organized a training course entitled "How to Mic with the Right Cables" with the engineer, sound engineer and author Pavlos Sapountzis in the conference hall of Zappeion. Finally, in the outdoors of Zappeion, the Audigys stage was hosted the active 3-line line array module TTL6-A (4 cabins / 2 per side) which we will present in a separate article on outdoor systems ...
